Two pythons have been married in a village in Cambodia, in a ceremony believed by the villagers to bring them health, wealth and prosperity.
Hundreds of people attended the wedding in Svay Rolum village, just south of the capitol Phnom Penh, which went on for two hours and was blessed by two Buddhist monks.
Apparently most Cambodian people believe in animism – that spirits can inhabit animals and inanimate objects – and these two pet pythons just looked made for each other !
